Ruta joined Vanda as Vice President of Research in October 2024. Previously, she worked as a G10 FX and macro analyst at Convera (formerly known as Western Union Business Solutions) and co-authored an academic paper titled The Political Economy of Kazakhstan: A Case of Good Economics, Bad Politics? Ruta graduated with distinction from University College London with an MSc in Economics, specialising in macroeconomic modelling and econometrics. She is working towards becoming a CFA charterholder, having passed Level 1 in February 2024.
